When you enter the Boris Clinic, please check in at the MDC reception desk. Once you are registered into the computer, you will be asked to sit in the main waiting area or you will be asked to go directly to the MDC unit.
The MDC is a large open area with 17 chairs. You will be assigned a specific chair upon registration.
Depending on your treatment, you may be here for 1 to 8 hours.
During your treatment, the nurses will closely watch you, and provide information and support.
We will encourage you to be involved in your care. We welcome your questions at any time.
Your appointments may be scheduled at any time throughout the day.
Please arrive on time for your scheduled appointment. If you arrive early, we will ask you to wait until your scheduled appointment time. If you arrive late, we may have to reschedule your visit. We are not able to accommodate unscheduled visits.
Your appointment is scheduled depending on the length of your treatment and how busy the MDC is on that day. We try our best to keep your wait time as short as possible.
If you are unable to keep your appointment or need to cancel, please call the business clerk in the MDC as soon as possible.
It is your responsibility to schedule your next appointment(s) in MDC and follow-up appointments with your doctor. Please review with your doctor whether you need new treatment orders or lab work requisitions as this will allow for better flow and consistency in your treatments. If you are not sure when to book your appointments, please talk to the staff at MDC.
